Does this sound familiar?
It is not a lack of effort. It's a system problem.
It's typically down to two things: generic fat-loss advice isn't specific to type 1 diabetes, and standard diabetes education teaches you the essentials, but never the specifics on how to lose body fat whilst keeping good glucose control. Nobody connects the two, and you're left trying to figure it all out yourself.
"His ability to translate complex nutritional science into practical, evidence-based advice that people can understand and apply is outstanding. Most importantly, Kieran genuinely cares about the people he works with. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone seeking support with diabetes and nutrition."

Diabetes Physical Activity Specialist
"Kieran's knowledge of diabetes is phenomenal. He is always able to explain complicated information in an easy-to-understand manner. I have entrusted him to support my clients with both diabetes and non-diabetes issues."

Built around your data, not a template
A plan built on your individual goals, data and lifestyle
During your onboarding call, we find the one or two main things holding you back from losing body fat and getting good glucose control. We fix those first, instead of changing everything at once — this keeps it simple and avoids confusion.
Nutrition from a dietitian
A nutrition plan specific to you and your current situation and goals. You won't have to cut out your favourite foods. The aim is a good relationship with food that leads to sustainable fat loss and, more importantly, long-term maintenance. Get lean once and forever — no more yo-yo diets.
Weekly check-ins
A check-in each week — video, phone or email — where we look at your data and make any small changes needed to keep you moving toward your goals. I'll explain why we're making each change, so you become your own diabetes expert.
Direct access
Access to me via WhatsApp, Monday to Friday, for any queries or questions you have. I'll get back to you the same day with clear, actionable information — diabetes is a dynamic disease, and you shouldn't have to wait a week for an answer.
- Personalised nutrition, lifestyle & training framework

If you're not happy with the results or coaching, you get your money back.
If you do the onboarding, do the check-ins, actually engage with the programme, and after thirty days you don't feel you're getting good results or coaching, message me and I'll refund the month in full. No forms, no argument.
I stand behind what I build. What I can't do is guarantee results for someone who doesn't engage with the plan — that's not how this works.
Before you start
I already have an NHS diabetes team. Why pay for this?
Because a fifteen-minute appointment once or twice a year can't review your CGM traces every week, or help you work out why Friday lunch behaves differently to Tuesday lunch. Your team handles your medical care. I handle the daily system around food, training and body composition. They're different jobs.
My diabetes is complicated. Will this actually work for me?
Complicated is the normal case with type 1 diabetes, not the exception. Pumps, closed loop, MDI, wildly variable insulin sensitivity, sleep — that's the work. If I genuinely don't think I can help you, I'll tell you and refund you.
Will I have to eat low carb or give up takeaways?
No. If a plan can't survive a holiday, a curry and a bad week, it isn't a plan. We work out how to make those things predictable rather than banning them. If you're having to restrict carbohydrates to maintain good glucose control, that may not be a long-term strategy for managing your diabetes. If you prefer a lower-carbohydrate diet, we can work with that — as long as it's sustainable and nutritionally complete.
Do I have to track everything forever?
What gets measured gets managed — but that doesn't mean you need to weigh out every grain of rice forever. There are plenty of ways to track food, and I can help you find the one that works for you as a diabetes dietitian.
What if changing things gives me more hypos?
That's exactly why we change one thing at a time and review it. Reducing hypos is usually one of the first things that happens with the coaching, often within the first couple of weeks.
How long will it take to lose the body fat?
This depends on your starting point and your current glucose control — 0.5–1% of bodyweight per week is a sustainable rate of loss. I'll be able to give you a clear guide to this after our onboarding call.
